Viessmann System Boiler & Joule Unvented Cylinder Installation in Epsom
We upgraded a 3-bedroom home in Epsom with a modern Viessmann system boiler, new Joule unvented hot water cylinder, and a powerflushed heating system. Controlled via a Tado thermostat, the home now enjoys reliable heating, pressurised hot water at all outlets, and improved energy efficiency.
The Challenge
The homeowner in Epsom was experiencing unreliable heating and hot water from an old conventional boiler system in their 3 bedroom terraced home. Hot water supply was inconsistent, and the property required a more efficient solution to meet the demands of a modern household, with two young children and a family pet. The goal was to improve heating performance and ensure pressurised hot water was reliably available from all taps and showers throughout the property.
Our Solution
After assessing the property, we recommended an A-rated system boiler combined with a new unvented hot water cylinder. The installation included:
New 30kW Viessmann Vitodens 100 System Boiler Installation: A high-efficiency boiler was installed to provide reliable heating throughout the home.
210L Joule Horizontal Unvented Cylinder Replacement: The old vented cylinder was replaced with a modern unvented cylinder, improving water pressure and hygiene. To help optimize space under the eaves, we used a horizontal cylinder, a solution that helps make the most of the available space, especially for cylinders installed in lofts.
Powerflush of Heating System: The radiators and pipes were thoroughly cleaned to remove sludge and debris, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
System Design: The new system was carefully sized to meet the demands of the household, ensuring consistent heating and hot water even during peak usage.
Smart Thermostat: The heating system is controlled using a Tado thermostat, allowing the homeowner to manage temperatures efficiently and conveniently from anywhere.
