Lady managing the room heating remotely after the new boiler installation

Vaillant Combi Boiler Installation in Wimbledon

After a breakdown of an old 24kW boiler in a rented Wimbledon property, we replaced it with a 27kW Vaillant combi boiler, performed a full powerflush, and ensured landlord compliance with a new CO alarm and CP12 Gas Safety certificate.

The result: reliable heating, stronger hot water pressure, and peace of mind for both landlord and tenants.

The Challenge

A landlord contacted us after their property’s 24kW combi boiler broke down. The system was over 20 years old, and while a repair was initially requested, it quickly became clear that a replacement would be more economical in the long term. The landlord wanted a more reliable, efficient system that could provide better hot water pressure for tenants and reduce the risk of future breakdowns.

Our Solution

After assessing the property and the old system, we recommended a Vaillant EcoTech Plus 27kW combi boiler, which offered improved performance and hot water pressure. The installation process included:

  • Boiler Replacement: The old 24kW unit was removed and replaced with a modern 27kW Vaillant combi boiler, delivering more reliable heating and higher hot water pressure. We also disposed of the old boiler.

  • Vertical Flue Replacement: The work also involved the replacement of the vertical flue through the side extension’s roof as the previous boiler’s flue was not compiant to current Gas Safe regulation.

  • Powerflush: We performed a full powerflush of the heating system to remove sludge and debris, ensuring the pipes and radiators were clean and the system operates efficiently.

  • Landlord Compliance: As the property is rented, we installed a new CO alarm and issued the landlord with a CP12 Gas Safety Certificate, ensuring legal compliance and tenant safety.

The Outcome

The landlord now benefits from:

  • A modern, energy-efficient boiler providing reliable heating and strong hot water pressure

  • Cleaner pipes and radiators following the powerflush, improving system longevity and efficiency

  • Compliance with landlord gas safety regulations, giving peace of mind to both landlord and tenants

  • Reduced risk of future breakdowns and lower maintenance costs

The tenants now enjoy consistent, strong hot water and heating with reduced ebergy costs, while the landlord has a safe, efficient system that meets the needs of a rental property.
